After Dark at Kerry County Museum – Enjoy a stroll through our Museum. Our current special exhibition Casement in Kerry: a revolutionary journey has objects on display that have never been displayed before. Other exhibitions highlights include the Museum Gallery, Tom Crean Room and a creative collaboration on Killaclohane Portal Tomb, Kerry’s oldest man – made structure.

 

Traditional Music with Sliabh Mish Comhaltas – Kicking of the culture night celebrations at 6 pm is the Slibh Mish Comhaltas group

 

Behind the Scenes Tour- A behind the scenes tour of the Museum’s collections is your chance to explore some of the unusual, intriguing, and though- provoking objects from our diverse collection.

 

Ancient Past, Youthful Imagination Killaclohane Portal Tomb, Kerry’s oldest ma mae structure, inspired secondary school students to explore life and death in the Neolithic. This colourful exhibition showcases their creative journey.

 

Medieval Family Fun- Are you ready for a night of Medieval entertainment? Member of the Kerry Medieval Living History group in authentic period costume will set up shop in Geraldine Trlaee and chat with you about life and death in the Medieval Ages.

 

Ancient Pottery Workshop- Join Dingle based ceramicist Lone Beiter- O’ Reilly and explore how ancient pottery was made. Based on finds from Killaclohane Portal tomb.
