Have you ever dreamed of being like Indiana Jones? Now’s your chance! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work on an exciting community archaeology project. Summer 2023 is the second year of Dig Tralee , a major archaeological excavation at Knockanacuig, the site of a prehistoric monument complex.  The aim of the project is to explore this ancient monument and uncover what role it might have played in the origins of Tralee. The dig will be lead by a team of professional archaeologists with the support from community volunteers. We’re looking for people who have an interest in archaeology and history, like working outdoors, and are keen to learn new skills by working alongside experts. Open to all over 18 years of age.

To find out more about the project join us on Tuesday 28th of March at 7pm in Kerry County Library Moyderwell, Tralee.
