Celebrating Brigid: Children’s workshop with Me + The Moon on Sat 3 February

Kerry County Museum is delighted to welcome Me+The Moon for this year’s first “Make at the Museum” drop-in workshop for children on Saturday 3 February from 11am-4pm. The event is inspired by the old Irish saying “There is room for everyone under Brigid’s cloak”. Under the direction of Me + The Moon’s creative team, children of all ages can engage in mixed-media activities in a relaxed and fun environment. This event particulary suitable for children aged 4-12 but younger and older siblings are welcome to join in. Each child will make something to bring home but also make a piece for a large collage at the museum. This is the first in a series of workshops facilitated by Me + The Moon – please scroll down for all events this year.

This rolling paper-construct workshop is included in the general admission fee: €5 per adults and children go free with their parents or guardians. Please note that children need to be supervised by an adult at all times. Before or after the workshop, families can also explore all museum exhibitions at their own leisure, including our newly launched community art exhibition “An Abundance of Colour”, an annual spring exhibition by local art group “Art in the Park” lead by Rebecca Lyons.
