Saint Brigid Cross making Origami workshop on Saturday 4 February
St. Brigid’s Day – Lá Fhéile Bríde – celebrates Ireland’s only female patron saint on February 1 and most people will be familiar with the popular tradition of making crosses in St Brigid’s honour. Join artist Rebecca Lyons at Kerry County Museum ob Saturday 4 February from 11am until 3pm for a St. Brigid cross making workshop using Origami techniques. As Brigid is associated with the arrival of spring, Rebecca is also going to show you how to make simple but beautiful Origami flowers. This drop-in workshop is suitable for all ages and is included in the regular admission fee: €5 for adults; children go free.
